The clients, a couple with children who frequently visit, sought a dwelling that not only catered to their family dynamics but also celebrated their passion for food and offered a sanctuary for relaxation and entertainment. The architectural concept revolves around a main building with a sauna building with a guest room, and an adjacent garage, all unified beneath a single, unbroken flat roof.

The seamless integration required constant and meticulous coordination with the structural engineer, the HVAC engineer, the electrical engineer, and the CLT-element designer throughout the project. The heart of this home is the expansive open living and dining space, dominated by a large central kitchen. The clients' culinary expertise and love for food demanded a kitchen that could serve as both a workspace and a place for family togetherness.

PLANS AND ELEVATIONS:

House Harriā€™s abundant natural light and strong connection to the outside is achieved mainly through nearly 4-meter-tall floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors. The strategic placement of openings allows sunlight to flood the interior, creating an inviting and warm atmosphere, without sacrificing privacy, as the placement of the windows and doors is carefully considered to maintain a sense of seclusion and intimacy within the home.

The window detail further softens the transition between outdoor and indoor spaces, with no visible frame.
