The meticulously designed two-story home caters to the dynamic lifestyle of a family of four, prioritizing indoor air quality and energy efficiency. The ground floor features an expansive open-plan living room with a floor-to-ceiling glazed facade. The second-floor gallery corridor fosters interaction and connection between family members on different levels of the home.
The design for House E was data driven, employing diverse tools to meet predetermined benchmarks for thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental impact. Achieved through careful integration of passive and active strategies, the low-impact and climatically responsive design optimizes natural daylight, utilizes thermal mass, and minimizes the need for active heating systems.
